Personalized treatment from an experienced and caring team

Our psychiatric providers will work with you to find the best and most effective medication for your needs

Improve Mood and Energy

Medications can help lift the weight of persistent sadness or emotional numbness and gradually restore the energy and motivation needed to engage with daily life.

Even out highs and lows

For people experiencing mood swings or bipolar episodes, certain medications help stabilize emotional extremes, making life feel more predictable and manageable.

Improve Focus and Sleep

Some medications enhance concentration and regulate sleep patterns, which are often disrupted by anxiety, depression, or ADHD—helping you think more clearly and feel more rested.

Reduce anxiety and worry

By calming the nervous system, medications can ease the constant tension and racing thoughts that make it hard to relax, think clearly, or feel safe.

Medications for Mental Health

Medications can play a vital role in a mental health treatment, especially when used alongside therapy and lifestyle support. At Affect, we understand that mental health disorders like depression and anxiety often involve changes in brain chemistry that can make it difficult to feel like yourself. In these cases, medications can help rebalance the brain’s systems and create the stability needed to make progress in other areas of life.

Our program combines evidence-based therapy, compassionate support, and psychiatry—all delivered through a convenient and private app experience. Whether you’re struggling with low mood, racing thoughts, intense worry, or difficulty concentrating or sleeping, our licensed psychiatric providers can evaluate your symptoms and work with you to find a medication plan that fits your needs. And because medication is just one part of the picture, we also offer coping tools, online community, and real-world support to help you build lasting change.

Our mental health and addiction care is covered by insurance. For 90% of our members, treatment is entirely free.

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

  • All of our prescribers are licensed medical professionals, including psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners with specialized training in mental health care. They’re experienced in treating conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and OCD.

  • You’ll meet with your prescriber through secure video calls, usually starting with a longer initial evaluation (about 60 minutes). After that, you’ll have shorter follow-up visits as needed to monitor how you’re doing and adjust medications if necessary.

  • Absolutely. In fact, research shows that therapy and medication together are often more effective than either one alone. Our program is designed to integrate both—so you’ll have access to licensed therapists as well as prescribers, all working as a team to support your progress.

  • Your prescriber will talk with you about your symptoms, history, and treatment goals to help decide if medication could be helpful. There’s no pressure—some people benefit from medications, others may not need them, and we always work with you to find the best path forward.

  • Yes—your privacy and confidentiality are extremely important to us. All appointments are conducted through secure, HIPAA-compliant video calls, and your health information is protected using industry-standard encryption. We never share your data without your explicit permission.

  • In most states, initial appointments are available within two business days.
